SWIR hyperspectral camera Typical Applications:

  1. Water Pollution (Oil Spill) Monitoring
In oil and gas leak monitoring, the hyperspectral camera detects the presence of oil and gas by identifying specific wavelengths of spectral energy emitted by the objects. Different types of oil and gas have distinct reflection and absorption characteristics on the spectrum. By analyzing these characteristics, leak events can be accurately located and quantified. Traditional leak monitoring methods often provide limited information and cannot achieve precise oil and gas leak detection.
  2. Camouflage Identification of Targets
This meets the timeliness of battlefield intelligence and the foundation for effective camouflage target detection. Hyperspectral remote sensing technology observes targets from three different dimensions: space, time, and spectrum, thus providing more comprehensive and detailed information about the target. The spectral feature curves obtained from detection can help reverse-engineer the target’s composition at each pixel, distinguishing background from target based on the spectral properties of the target material.
  3. Geological Mineral Exploration
Hyperspectral geological mineral exploration is a method that uses hyperspectral imaging technology to detect and identify minerals. Hyperspectral imaging can capture information beyond the visible light spectrum. By analyzing the spectral characteristics, it is possible to determine the chemical composition and mineral composition of the ore.
